Wiehan Peyper
While I’ve always enjoyed competitive running, I first began cycling as a teenager. I competed in the 2005 Duathlon World Championships, in Newcastle, Australia, representing my home country of South Africa. In 2012, I added the swimming component to my training and completed the 2013 Ironman 70.3 East London, South Africa. Just before moving to the U.S. in early 2016, I qualified to represent South Africa for the World Triathlon Championships in Cozumel, Mexico later that year. Cycling is my favorite discipline and I am also a certified spinning instructor. When not on the bike, I’m daydreaming about being out there on the bike! I’m so glad to have found such a supportive and inspiring community of triathletes, through FeXY!

My greatest passion in life is striving for a healthy and active lifestyle, while inspiring others toward the same. I’ve always loved running, ever since participating in McLean Youth Track and Field as a 5-year old, and a decade later competing on the Langley High School Track and Cross-Country teams. After meeting Wiehan, it was only a matter of time before I also got into cycling and swimming! I’m so excited to compete in my first ever triathlon race this year!
